Lessons in Primary and Pre-Primary Schools start at 7:45 a.m. and finish at 1:05 p.m. In All-Day Primary and Pre-Primary Schools lessons continue until 4:00 p.m.
The headteacher of the school can give orders to pupils to leave school earlier than the appropriate time:
a) after the consent of the respective Chief Education Officer
b) after his own initiative so as to prevent an upcoming danger (e.g. storm, fire), or to face any unexpected serious situation.
Pupils with special needs from all sectors can leave the school to attend treatment that is not provided at the school, after obtaining approval from the school headteacher.
Teachers arrive at school at least 15 minutes before lessons start and leave after lessons finish, given that they take all necessary actions for all the pupils to leave the school safe.
