Web Services and Communication Department The Web Services and Communication Department is responsible for the organisation and presentation on the web of all information related to directorates, departments, services, and programmes of the The Project Consultant assumed duties on 25/06/2018 and the contracting company is KPMG (Contract EFMU 09/17). At this stage of the project Deliverable 5 (Project Fiche) is being received so that approval by the eGovernment Council will be obtained. The approval is expected in October 2019., as well as all the educational material for Primary and Secondary General Education. Additionally, the Department is responsible for the presentation and dissemination of information through social media and manages the email accounts under the domain www.schools.ac.cy.
Moreover, it provides training and technical support to teachers who are responsible for creating and updating the public schools’ websites. It also provides web hosting for public school websites, supports public schools with web services, design template and website development.
Additionally, it maintains and updates the websites of independent services such as The Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.), The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.) and the Cyprus Permanent Committee for the Standardization of Geographical Names.
Finally, the department designs, creates and upgrades web applications for e-forms, for the submission of applications and for the distribution of circulars.
