The Contract and Tender team is responsible for conducting competitions related to the work of the ICT Unit and to monitor the implementation of contracts resulting from the conduct of competitions.
More specifically the team is responsible for the following activities:
Conduction of competitions, including the preparation of specifications, the announcement and evaluation of competitions for the procurement of hardware and software related to the educational process.
Coordination, management and monitoring of contracts including audits in schools and payment monitoring in collaboration with the MoECSY’s accounting department.
Participation in the Evaluation Committees for Electronic Catalogs of the General Treasury for computer products and printer consumables.
Provision of assistance for the preparation of competition terms and participation in Evaluation Committees for competitions launched by various departments of the MoECSY for the supply of ICT equipment.
Currently, the team manages a co-funded project that involves conducting competitions for the installation of structured cabling and wireless network (Wi-Fi) in all Secondary General Education and Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training schools. This project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
