Thus, the form (in Greek)should be completed by the parent / guardian of the student and signed by the Principal of the school.
Please note:
(a) Applications which are not submitted following the above procedure or are not fully and properly completed will not be approved.
(b) The school collects and keeps copies of all applications and supporting documents. The applications are subsequently signed by the principal and sent to the corresponding District Office by October 15, 2019 at the latest.
(c) Late applications are not accepted. However, students could apply for an exemption:
From Physical Education or other classes on the basis of health problems that arise at a later stage,
When they enroll at the school after the start of the school year. The District Office should receive the application within two (2) weeks of the student's enrollment day.
(d) Applications for exemptions must be made on a separate form for each course.
Applications must be duly validated and accompanied by relevant evidence (where appropriate) as follows:
Application for an exception from Foreign Language courses: Progress report showing that the student was not taught the subject in the previous school year (where applicable).
Application for Exemption from Ancient Greek: Progress report showing that the student was not taught the subject in the previous year.
Application for Exemption from Physical Education or any other course for health reasons: Original Doctor's Certificate, which must specify the effective period of exemption.

If the parent wishes for the student to leave the classroom at the time of Religious Studies courses, he / she must indicate this clearly in the application. In this case, the Principal of the school will make alternative arrangements, regarding curriculum content.
It is stressed that the exemption from each lesson applies only for the specific school year when the application is approved.
Each application for exemption from lessons for any other reason is examined on a case basis by the school management in order to determine whether the reasons are valid, and will be sent to the corresponding District office of Secondary Education.
