Secondary Technical and Vocational Education (MTEE)
General Information
In the context of a wider effort by the Ministry of Education Culture, Sports and Youth to modernize the education system, the Directorate of Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training, upgraded the Secondary Technical and Vocational Education by modernizing its structure and content as well as by redefining and implementing new Programs of Studies and new Fields of Study.
MTEE is provided in twelve (12) Technical and Vocational Schools of Education and Training in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaka, Paralimni, Avgorou, Paphos and Polis Chrysochous.
Some programs of study also run at Agros and Omodhos High Schools as well as in Empa.
The Fields of Study of the Secondary Technical and Vocational Education are offered in two (2) directions: Theoretical and Practical. The balanced program of general education, technological specialization and laboratory practice offered in both directions, aims both at preparing the students for their employment in the Industry as well as for continuing their academic studies in Higher Education Institutions and Universities.
